A cross-party movement at Westminster committed to improving the health, lives and experiences of families and adults living in Temporary Accommodation across England.

Formed in early 2022 and currently active, the APPG is committed to improving the health, lives and experiences of families and adults living in Temporary Accommodation (TA) across England. The group highlights the damaging health and educational impacts of living in TA, especially for children.

National call for evidence on neurodivergent children’s lives in temporary accommodation

The APPG for Households in Temporary Accommodation, in partnership with King’s College London, Shared Health Foundation and Autistica, has launched the first UK-wide Call for Evidence to gather parents/guardians and professionals' experiences of living in TA with neurodivergent children.
The team behind the call is seeking parents, carers or professionals who support families, to share their experiences on what it is like to live in temporary accommodation and the impact that short and longer term stays have on neurodivergent children’s health, wellbeing, and education.

The Call for Evidence runs until  Friday 4th July 2025

Supporting Access for Everyone

The SAFE campaign, launched by the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Households in Temporary Accommodation, aims to foster increased collaboration between local authorities and their support services, when a homeless household is placed in temporary accommodation (TA).

We can’t continue allowing our children's health and education to suffer because of their homeless situation. We want homeless households to experience a continuity of support so that they can one day move back into settled housing.
